Barb was one of the kindest women I ever meant in my life, I am so happy that I had the pleasurer of many conversations over the past 10 years of knowing her. She loved her family and often talked about them. Barbara was a fighter and she never let her bad days show. I will truly miss her and our conversations. My prayers to the whole family that you may find peace and know how much she loved you all. Heaven gained a true angel.

I am so sorry for the entire family upon the passing of Barb. She came into the clinic, always with a smile and a friend. I had the honor of treating her over the past 15 years. She became family to us very easily. She was a very courageous woman who fought incredibly hard for many, many years. She lived God and she loved life. You are all in my thoughts and prayers during this most difficult time. May she Rest In Peace. Sincerely, Maureen, R.N.

I have so many fond memories of Barbara, Sonny, and her family. We were neighbors for a long time and she always watched out for my children.
We attended many celebrations at her home. Barb's door was always open.
Rest now, dear friend. The battle is over. Enjoy the reward. You will always be in my heart.

This was a very long time ago but boy I would love when Barbara would yell at Anthony when he would do something stupid in fact she would yell at all of us like she was everyone's mother (which she was). She was a one-of-a-kind she will be missed greatly!

They say that a true friend is one who knows all about you and loves you just the same. I was blessed to have such a friend for 44 years. Barbara was sweet, kind and generous to a fault. She was always there for me to share a happy occasion or to lend a soft shoulder when sad times arose. To say that I will miss her falls far short of how I really feel. I know that her loved ones who went before are awaiting her arrival with much joy and open arms. I’m not going to say goodbye, dear Barbara. I’m going to say so long for a little while until we meet again. I love you so much......and you’ll have a very special place in my heart forever.

In the summer of 1963, at the age of 15, I had the good fortune to meet Barbara. She was at that time, Sr. Antonia, O.P. assigned to the Dominican Retreat House, in Dayton, Ohio. My mother arranged for me, to help the sister's with weekend retreats....serving meals, doing dishes, and making beds(I can still see Barb teaching me how to make a bed, no "easy sheets" in those days), and helping where needed for the 60 women making a weekend retreat.
I told my mom, I did not want to do it. I can still see her looking at me and saying, "Do you want to do anything fun this summer?"
So, off I went to help the sister's and that was the beginning of a 57 year friendship. Barbara has been my friend and mentor. I will miss her more than words could ever express. I have so many wonderful memories, and so many meaningful conversations, to hold in my heart. I always told her, especially these past 17 years, that she was my hero. She would always laugh and say "I don't feel like a hero." Barbara was a hero to me, because her faith gave me faith, her hope always made me stronger and her love taught me the meaning of compassion. I consider her friendship, a true blessing in my life.
Rest in peace Barb and thank you. To all of Barbara's family, especially Louise, Anthony and Christine, my deepest sympathy.

Barb was a light in the world! I was blessed to know her through my days at St. Eleanor. She had a huge heart, wonderful sense of humor and laugh, and a deep, deep faith that was a model to all who met her. Today, I know she is in Paradise! My deepest sympathies to Weezie, Skye and adoring family. May the Lord fill the cracks of your broken hearts with the loving memories of Barb. Eternal rest grant unto her O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon her. May her soul, and all the souls of the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace. + Love, Shawn Marie

Barbara was our Angel on Earth. She was the to "go-to" person for any prayer intention, and could make anyone feel better about whatever challenges they may be facing with her soothing voice, sweet smile and her gentle pat on the shoulder.
We will miss her terribly, but know that if we are in need, she will be looking over us!
Love,
The Somplasky Family

May the Blessings of Almighty God be with you Barb as you begin your new new life journey. Meeting Barb in 1987 and being Friends has been the Greatest Gift I have received in my adult life! Countless memories of fun, laughter and sincere heart to hearts filled our 33 years! Barb was always family to our family! Barb your leaving has placed a whole in my heart. I decided to leave it open and let it fill in as time moves on. I know you will be bringing me treats from heaven as you have done so graciously for as long as we have been friends. I will cherish you and Your friendship forever! God bless you my Friend! Now it’s time for Sonny to finally get in those Pearly Gates... you have brought the Key!
Love you ... Miss Patti
