Obituary of Michael S. O'Donnell

Michael S. O'Donnell, 61, of Collegeville, PA passed away on July 31, 2016 at his home. He was born in Darby, PA on August 1, 1954 to Thomas A. and Margaret (Swanick) O'Donnell. Michael has been a resident of Collegeville since 1980, formerly of King of Prussia. He founded O'Donnell Metal Fabricators of East Norriton in 1980 and worked as the owner/operator until his retirement. He enjoyed spending summers in Avalon for the past 20 years and was an avid fisherman. He was known as "Captain Mike" to his friends, "Miracle Mike" to those in the medical field, and "Cappy" to his beloved grandchildren. In addition to his parents, Michael is survived by his beloved wife of 36 years, Michelle (Bankert) O'Donnell of Collegeville, son, Michael (& Joanna) O'Donnell of Collegeville, two daughters, Kaitlyn O'Donnell of Collegeville and Brianna O'Donnell of Seattle, WA, three brothers, Thomas O'Donnell, III of Harleysville, Joseph "Buddy" ( & Kathleen "Mic") O'Donnell of Blue Bell, and Kevin ( & Fran) O'Donnell of Boyertown, one sister, Peggy ( & Tim) Abell of Gwynedd, two grandchildren, Brody & Emma O'Donnell, 17 nieces and nephews and 8 great nieces and nephews. His Memorial Mass will be held on Wednesday, August 3, 2016 at 10:00 AM from the St. Eleanor's RC Church, 647 Locust Street, Collegeville PA 19426. Friends may call on Wednesday morning from 9:00 to 10:00AM at the Church. Interment will be private. Please omit flowers.
