Obituary of Dorothea "Dot" Davies

Dorothea "Dot" Davies, 86, of Trappe, PA passed away on May 24, 2016. She was born in Norristown, PA on April 5, 1930 to the late Andrew and Verna (Haas) Davies. Dot has been living in Trappe since 1961, formerly of Norristown and Paoli. She was a parishioner of Saint Eleanor Catholic Church where she attended daily Mass and was a member of the Women's Guild. She enjoyed bowling, trips to the shore, going to brunch with her friends, and family reunions. Dot was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Walter A. Davies. Survivors include her daughter, Barbara (Dennis) Guckin of Bensalem, PA; son, Walter Davies of Trappe, PA; daughter, Eileen (Jake) Zuidema of Royersford, PA; daughter, Julie (Phillip) Wydro of Limerick, PA; brother, Andrew (Joan) Roscoe; and sister, Elizabeth Dugan. Dot is also survived by six grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, Dot was preceded in death by two brothers and one sister. Her Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, May 31, 2016 at 10:30 AM from the St. Eleanor Catholic Church, 647 Locust Street, Collegeville, PA 19426. Friends may call on Tuesday morning from 9:30 AM to 10:15 AM at the Church. Interment will take place in St. Patrick's Cemetery, East Norriton, PA.
