Obituary of Richard A. Coletta, Sr.

Richard A. Coletta, Sr., 75, of Collegeville, PA, passed away on Sunday, February 28, 2016. He was born in Philadelphia, PA on October 2, 1940. Richard has lived in Collegeville, PA for the last 40 years, formerly of Philadelphia, PA. He was a devoted member of St. Eleanor's RC Church of Collegeville, PA. He was a passionate educator for over 38 years with the Colonial School District at Plymouth-Whitemarsh High School and as an Adjunct Professor with Gwynedd Mercy University and Villanova University. He also created the BioMedical Technology program at the Central Montco Technical High School. Son of the late - Anthony & Julie (Russo) Coletta. Survivors include his Wife: Lynn (Snethen) Coletta of Collegeville PA, Daughter: Christine (& Gerald) Coletta-Hansen of Collegeville PA, Son: Richard A. (& Sloan) Coletta, Jr. of Collegeville PA, Step Daughter: Jennifer (& Michael) Zavertnik of Collegeville PA, Step son: Todd (& Jennifer) Glodek of Delran NJ, Brother: Albert Coletta of Lafayette Hill PA, Sister: Veronica Marino of Bensalem PA, 5 Grandchildren: Anthony Hansen, Luke Hansen, Bryce Richard Coletta, Caleb Zavertnik, Eli Zavertnik, & Baby-to-be Glodek. Along with his parents he was preceded in death by his First Wife Late - Barbara (Carr) Coletta, a sister Carmella Leonetti and 3 late brothers Dr. Vincent Coletta, Anthony Coletta, & Dr. Domenic Coletta. There will be a viewing on Thursday evening from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Moore, Snear & Ruggiero Funeral Home, 224 West Main Street, Trappe PA. His Memorial Mass will be held on Friday, March 4, 2016 at 10:30 AM at St. Eleanor's RC Church, 647 Locust Street, Collegeville, PA. Clergy: Fr. Daniel E. Mackle officiating. There will be a visitation on Friday, March 4, 2016 from 9:30-10:30 AM at St. Eleanor's Church prior to the Mass. Celebration of Life Luncheon to follow for family.
