Whalon Family, I met my best friend in college, and little did I know at that time that I would also be gaining a second family. The memories of the many Sunday dinners, birthdays, cook outs and holidays always bring a smile to my face. Eileen, my fondness memories of your parents are when they came to our softball games and would always cheer for us like we were in the 7th game of the World Series. I especially enjoyed the history talks I had with your father. He painted a vivid description of his earlier life and brought that time era to life for me, made it real. I often think of how interested he was when I told him about me flying my Uncle Johns Piper Cub and how he laughed when I told him you were doing barrel rolls in yours. Your Father and Mother welcomed me into the family with open arms and will forever hold a special place in my heart. I hope all of you find the same comfort I have found in all the happy memories.
