Obituary of Richard D. O'Connor

Richard D. "Rip" O'Connor, age 81 years, of Boynton Beach, Fl passed away on Friday, May 31, 2019.

Richard was born in West Conshohocken, Pa on Monday, January 24, 1938, son of the late Joseph J. and the late Hazel V. ( Swartley ) O'Connor.

Richard has been living in Boynton Beach, Fl since 2011, formerly of Conshohocken, Pa and West Conshohocken where he was born and raised.

He was a graduate of St. Matthew's High School, where he was an outstanding football player.

Richard worked as a Store Manager with M A B  Paints and then Sherwin-Williams Paints.

Rip enjoyed playing golf and gambling.  

He is survived by his wife Evelyn (McKeever) O'Connor of Boynton Beach, Fl and their 3 children, Richard aka "Ripper"  O'Connor of Conshohocken, Pa, Barbara (& Chris) Fitting of Devon, Pa, and Robin (& David) Bowman of Plymouth Meeting, Pa.  Also survived by a brother Donald (& Barbara) O'Connor of West Norriton, Pa and 3 granddaughters Lauren Fitting, Emily Bowman & Kelsey Bowman.

Along with his parents he was preceded in death by his twin brother Robert M. O'Connor.

Funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, June 5, 2019 at 10:30 AM from St. Matthew's RC Church, 219 Fayette Street, Conshohocken, Pa 19428.

There will be a viewing before mass on Wednesday morning from 9:30 to 10:15 AM at the church.

Interment will be private.
