Obituary of Mary D. Highlands

Mary D. Highlands, 80, of Perkiomen Township passed surrounded by her children on Saturday, August 8, 2015, at Sanatoga Court. She was the wife of the late William H. Highlands. Born in Glasgow, Scotland on Septembr 3, 1934, she was the eldest daughter of Daniel M. Morrison and Mary (Wood) Morrison. She was an exceptional mother and tailor. She married William H. Highlands on February 28, 1958. In 1967 she immigrated with her husband and children to Collegeville PA. She is survived by daughters, Doreen Elizabeth (& Allen) Swanson, Cape May, NJ; Jean Morrison (& Keith) Tarbet, Schwenksville PA, and Alison Carol (& Patrick) O'Donnell, Exeter, PA; a son, William Alexander Buchanan (& Lisa) Highlands, Royersford, PA, eight grandchildren: Matthew Allen Swanson, Lauren Elizabeth Swanson, Andrew Ian Highlands Tarbet, Elizabeth Mary Hopkins Tarbet, Morgan Sarah O'Donnell, Owen Alexander Evans Highlands, Carter Buchanan Dalton Highlands, and Elise Catherine Mary Highlands. She is also survived by her sisters: Nancy (& Wally) Gardner, Jeannie Morrison and Christine Dacey, along with nieces and nephews. Her memorial service will be held on Thursday, August 13, 2015, at 2:30 PM in the Moore, Snear & Ruggiero Funeral Home, 224 W. Main Street, Trappe, PA 19426 with visitation from 2:00-2:30 PM.
