Bob has lived in Blue Bell for the last year, formerly of Plymouth Twp., where he had lived most of his life He was a founding member of Prince of Peace Lutheran Church of Plymouth Meeting, Pa He was a World War II Navy Veteran where he recieved the World War II Victory Medal He worked with Honeywell before he opened he became his own Mechanical Contractor Stafford Mechanical of Wayne, Pa and then Industrial Valley Services Bob was very active with the Mason's as a member of Charity Lodge # 190 F. & A. M. since June 11, 1946 as a member of Shriners Lu Lu Temple of Plymouth Meeting, Pa, where he was a the marching band member and leader od the dance band, also a member of Shriners of North America, & Shriners International, as well as a member of Tall Cedars of Lebanon Lodge 31 and Knights Templar He was also a member of Patriotic Sons of America, Camp 523 Bob was an award winning musician who enjoyed music, boating, going to the home he built on Long Beach Island, and he was an avid golfer and voluntered as a marshal for the US OPen

Obituary of Robert L. Culp

Robert L. Culp, age 87, of Blue Bell, died Friday, December 7, 2012 at Willowbrook At Normandy of Blue Bell, PA. Mr. Culp was born May 1, 1925 in Norristown, PA. He is the son of the late Winfield Hancock and the late Gertrude Mae (Carter ) Culp. He married Carolyn (Bindrim ) Culp.

 

He served in the Navy during World War II from 11/16/1942 to 02/27/1946. He was Self Employed.

He is survived by his wife: Carolyn ( Bindrim ) Culp , three daughters: Charlotte (& John J.) Novak of Montgomeryville, PA, Cynthia (& Michael) Alderfer Hilghman of Lantana, FL, Beverly Jane (& Thomas Tutwiler) Culp of West Norriton, PA and one son: Winfield Scott (& Susan R. ) Culp of Plymouth Meeting, PA; Brother of one brother: Donald Culp of Tamarak, FL; Step Son, Jack (& Kimberly) Douglass of Schwenksville, PA; Step Son, Jan (& Jeanette) Douglass of St. Petersburg, FL; step daughter, Lee (& Paul) Smyser of Port Charlotte, FL; Step Son, Augustus "Chip" (& Eileen) Everhardt, V of Cedars, PA; Step Daughter, Ann (& Gary) Boesch of Schwenksville, PA.

 

Predeceased by his First Wife, Late - Charlotte W. "Jane" ( Williams) Culp, Predeceased Second Wife, Late - Aida "Dolly" ( Kulp ) Culp, Predeceased Siblings, Late - Emma Smith, Sara Wyle, Gertrude Poole, & Joel Culp.

 

The funeral will be held 10:00 am on Thursday, December 13, 2012 at George Washington Memorial Park, Stenton Ave. & Butler Pike, Plymouth Meeting, PA with The Rev. John Jorgensen officiating. Burial will be in George Washington Memorial Park, Plymouth Meeting.

 

Calling hours will be Wednesday, December 12 from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Moore & Snear Funeral Home, 19 East Germantown Pike, East Norriton, PA and Thursday, December 13 from 9:00 AM to 10:00AM at Cemetery Chapel.

 

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Prince Of Peace Lutheran Church, 2907 Jolly Road, Plymouth Meeting, PA 19462
