Obituary of John R. Bean

John "Jack" Richard Bean of Trappe died Saturday, February 28, 2015 at Phoenixville Hospital as a result of a heart attack. He was 71 years old. Born in Plymouth Whitemarsh, Jack was a retired carpenter/construction worker and an avid fisherman, hunter, and golfer. He belonged to such organizations as the Trappe and Red Hill VFW and the Gilbertsville and Lower Frederick Fire Companies. Jack was a loving father, son, brother, and fiance'. He was preceded in death by his mother Helen Shearer Dokenwadel and his stepfather Carl Dokenwadel. He is survived by his daughter Dawn Nicole Jones and son-in-law Scott Jones; daughter Danielle Renee Bean; son John Stephen Bean; grandsons Brandon G. Bean and Dylan R. Grant; sister Virginia Pugliese; and devoted fiancé Maria K. Steinmetz. Relatives and friends are invited to his memorial service at the Moore, Snear, and Ruggiero Funeral Home, 224 W. Main St., Trappe, PA 19426 on Thursday, March 5 at 11:30 AM with visitation from 10:30 – 11:30 AM. Following the service, all are invited to a luncheon at the Trappe VFW, 201 W. 3rd Ave., Trappe, 19426.
