Obituary of James W. Clemens
James W. Clemens of East Norriton, Pa., passed away suddenly on Saturday, May 25, 2013, at Temple University Hospital in Philadelphia. He was 70.
James was employed with Temple University for the past 14 years.
He was the loving husband of 23 years of Maureen (Johnson) Clemens.
A son of the late Walter & Gertrude (O'Brien) Clemens, he was born in Philadelphia, Pa., on December 30, 1942.
James resided in East Norriton for the past 13 years and previously resided in Philadelphia.
He was a member of St. Paul's RC Church of East Norriton, and he enjoyed working and spending time with his family.
Besides his wife, James is survived by son James A. Clemens of East Norriton, Pa.; daughter Adrienne (Brian) McGinn of Ridley Park, Pa.; grandchildren Aiden and Liam; brothers Walter Clemens and Gerald Clemens; sister Shirley Miller; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his brothers Thomas and Clifton Clemens.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Funeral Mass for James on Saturday, June 1, 2013, at 10 A.M. at St. Paul RC Church, 2007 New Hope, East Norriton, Pa. The Rev. Harry E. McCreedy, pastor, will officiate.
Friends may call on Friday evening May 31, 2013, from 7- 9 P.M. at the Moore, Snear & Ruggiero Funeral Home, 19 East Germantown Pike, East Norriton, Pa., and Saturday morning June 1, 2013, from 9-9:50 A.M. at the church.
Interment will be at St. Patrick's Cemetery, East Norriton, Pa.
In lieu of flowers, the family would prefer memorial contributions in James' name be sent to: Temple University Hospital Lung Center, 3401 N. Broad St., Philadelphia, Pa. 19140 5th Floor, Suite Zone D.
