Obituary of Mary E. Mellon
Mary E. (Eliff) Mellon, age 89 of Bridgeport, a homemaker, died Wednesday, March 13, 2013 in Bryn Mawr hospital of Bryn Mawr. Wife of the late Edmund J. Mellon.
Born in Bridgeport, PA on December 25, 1923, daughter of the late Jenny (Quigg) and Thomas F. Eliff.
Mary has been living in Bridgeport for the last 10 years, formerly of Conshohocken.
She was a member of St. Matthew's RC Church of Conshohocken and attending St. Augustine RC Church of Bridgeport. She Graduated from Bridgeport High School.
Mary was a kind, fun-loving, person who impacted everyone she knew. She loved the beach and spending her summers at the shore. Her family was her life and she was a driving force in each of their lives.
Mary is survived by her sons, William (Elaine) Mellon of Longneck, DE and Jerry (Dorothy) Mellon of Conshohocken; daughters, Patty (Vince) Casalenuovo of Shillington, PA, Donna (William) Mason of Bridgeport, and Maribeth (George) Tancini of King of Prussia; sister in law Marge Delaney of Conshohocken. Also survived by 13 grandchildren and ten great grandchildren .
Along with her husband and parents she was preceded in death by a son Robert Mellon; a brother William Eliff, and three sisters Jane Brady, Helen Kelly, and Anne Eliff.
Her Funeral Mass will be held on Monday, March 18, 2013 at 10:30 A.M. from the St. Matthew's RC Church, Third & Fayette Streets, Conshohocken. Clergy: Fr. J. Thomas Heron officiating.
Friends may call Monday from 9:30 to 10:20 A.M. at the Funeral Home.
Interment will be in St. Matthew's Cemetery, Conshohocken.
