Obituary of Ann Riccio
Ann Riccio, 80, of Hatfield, passed away peacefully on May 20, 2017 at her daughter’s home in Collegeville.
She was born in Straubing, Germany on June 22, 1936, the daughter of Franz X. and Rosa (Diettle) Schimpfhauser.
Ann raised her family in Ambler where she was a member of Saint Joseph Parish before moving to Collegeville and joining Saint Eleanor Parish. She was a homemaker and worked many years in food service. Ann was kind, outgoing, sociable and inviting. She enjoyed dancing and had an infectious laugh.
Survivors include her beloved husband of 59 years, Frank Riccio of Hatfield;
Three daughters, Dolores (& David) Shaw of Collegeville, Catherine (& Vince) Bralic of Green Valley, AZ, and Rosie (& Michael) McLaughlin of Collegeville; brother, Xavier Schimpfhauser; granddaughter, Christina Ledwith; and two grandsons, David (& Alison) Shaw, Jr. and Brian Shaw.
Her Memorial Mass will be held on Tuesday, May 23, 2017 at 10:30 AM at St. Eleanor Catholic Church, 647 Locust Street, Collegeville, PA 19426.
Friends may call on Tuesday morning from 9:30 AM to 10:15 AM at the church.
Interment will be private.
