Obituary of Carol A. McMullin

Carol A. "Gee" McMullin, age 80, of Blue Bell, PA passed away on Sunday, September 15, 2024.

She was born in Philadelphia, PA on January 19, 1944.  Carol lived most of her life in Northeast Philadelphia before moving to Blue Bell in 2022.  She was a homemaker and worked as a Crossing Guard for the City of Philadelphia.

"Gee" as we affectionately knew her loved nothing more than spending time with her Family and especially spending time with all of her Grand children, Great Grand Children. She was also a Mother to many furry children over the years, and a caregiver for Greenfrog.

Carol loved the Phillies and often talked about the games, when they are on? How did they do? In the 70's and 80' She would often take Frankie, Carol Lee, and Mike to games at Veterans Stadium for the giveaway days which became part of our wardrobe ensemble choices as kids, and supporting train gear and Bucket hats. Great fun to occupy the kids while letting us run around the top of the entire stadium..

She like her Mother was an extraordinary baker often making cakes cookies, candy, and her signature "Irish Potatoes" and made plenty to share with coworkers, friends all wanted more and said she should have sold them. She would never take any money for her baked goods and never visited a house of anyone without bringing atleast 2 bags of something to eat, wear and or for all to share like books, games, etc.

Mom loved gardening and an avid and competetive bowler which she did for years as a whole family affair in many Leagues throughout the City. However she always wondered why her wrists, thumbs, arms, neck and back always hurting? When anyone suggested it was from the bowling ...NOPE! was always always the reply and denied that could have had anything to do with it.

That helped keep her seated with her other hobbies of Sewing, crossword puzzles, seek & finds or reading which she also did regularly and would then give those books away to other family members to enjoy. Along with Mom's love of music like Barbara Streisand, Englebert Humperdinck, Gene Pitned, Frank Sinatra, and of course Elvis which she would blast on the record players while vacuuming and singing at the top of her lungs.

Gee was a friend every friend wanted to have, the happy, kind, loving and devoted Mother and Wife we were lucky enough to have called Mom, Gee, Baby Doll, or just Carol to the rest of the world which is a much darker place without her infectious smile that brightened our lives every day we had her, and will be much dimmer without her her physically but will never dim in the hearts, and memories of anyone that knew her. We love you, are lucky to. Have had the joy, honor and privilege to have you as and call you Mom, Gee, Baby Doll."

She was preceded in death by her father, John Lindtner, and Emmaline (Weiss) Hamilton and step father Arthur Hamilton.

She is survived by her husband, Frank D. McMullin of Blue Bell; son, Francis (Kelly) McMullin of Collegeville, PA;  daughter, Carol Lee Frank of Plymouth Meeting, PA; son, Michael (Morgan) McMullin of Feasterville, PA; five grandchildren, Megan (Patrick) Faulkner, Sean McMullin (Olivia Myers), Casey McMullin, Mackenzie McMullin, and Austin McMullin; as well as two great grandchildren, Patrick and Evelyn Lee.

Relatives and friends are invited to the visitation on Monday, September 23, 2024 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM, followed by her Memorial Service at 10:00 AM at the Moore, Snear & Ruggiero Funeral Home, 19 East Germantown Pike, East Norriton, PA 19401.
