Evelyn has lived in Norristown, Pa all of her life She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church where she was the Sunday School teacher and and Haws Avenue United Methodist Church, where she sang in the choir She was a graduate of Norristown High School, class of 1933. Evelyn was a voice student of Dr. Catherine Morgan for several years and sang in several churches in the Norristown area.
