Obituary of Scott Glenn Zimmerman

Scott Glenn Zimmerman

Scott Glen Zimmerman passed away peacefully in his home on March 31, 2026, with his family by his side. Born on December 9, 1957, Scott was preceded in death by his parents, Carol and Robert Zimmerman, and his siblings Richard Zimmerman, Ronald Zimmerman, and Wendy Zimmerman.

Scott is survived by his siblings: Bobby Zimmerman (and sister‑in‑law Karen), Jeff Zimmerman (and sister‑in‑law Lorrie), Sherri Fine (and brother‑in‑law Chuck), Holly Patrylak (and brother‑in‑law Joe), Kellee Giustozzi, and Kim Leister (and brother‑in‑law Durell). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews whom he loved deeply.

Scott faced an unexpected and courageous battle with brain cancer over his final months. During this time, he was lovingly supported and surrounded by his siblings in the home he built more than 30 years ago. Though the circumstances were heartbreaking, the time spent together brought tears, laughter, storytelling, and an unbreakable closeness his family will forever cherish.

From the time he was young, Scott was always on the move. Determined, resourceful, and a natural fighter, he always found a way to make things work. A successful entrepreneur, Scott founded several businesses and was the former owner of Gunite Specialist, which he operated alongside his longtime friend and partner, Dave Reeves. In his spare time, he enjoyed airplanes and fishing—simple joys that brought him peace.

Scott was best known for his generous spirit and willingness to help anyone in need. Whether it was assisting a stranger with a broken-down car, supporting an employee going through a hard time, or lending his skills to family—cutting down a tree, building a pool, fixing anything imaginable—Scott was always the first to step in. He was a straight shooter who never minced words, yet his kindness ran deep. He preferred giving over receiving and always made sure those around him were taken care of, even during his final months.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Daily Bread Community Food Pantry www.dailybreadcommunityfoodpantry.org or Envi Dog Rescue www.envidogrescue.com.

Scott’s life will be remembered and celebrated by the countless people whose lives he touched with his honesty, generosity, and unwavering heart. The family is hosting a barbeque for Scott’s family and friends to celebrate his life on April 18th beginning 3 pm at 1774 Green Hill Road, Collegeville.
